This program aims to bring together condensed matter theorists and experimentalists from around the world. The structure of the meeting is designed to foster in-depth discussion of the state of the art and initiation of promising new lines of enquiry. The themes of the program reflect the new and emerging directions of the field.
Condensed Matter Physics in the Cities 2020 will focus on the following topics:
- Quantum entanglement in theory and experiment: (Pollmann, Stoudenmire, Chalker, Saunders)
- Topology and fractionalization in quantum materials: (Senthil, Pollmann, Aronson, Sebastian, Castelnovo)
- New experimental developments: (Aoki, Takagi, McCollam, Lake, Aronson, Canfield)
- Machine learning in QM and QM in machine learning: (Stoudenmire,Lischner)
