Overview
Following an intense research activity on topological insulators, significant efforts have been devoted in the last couple of years to the search for gapless topological system. The experimental realization of Weyl and Dirac semimetals last year, shortly after their theoretical prediction, have brought the field of topological semimetals to the forefront of condensed matter physics. The planned workshop aims to bring together theoretical and experimental condensed matter physicists and material scientists from around the world to discuss topics and ideas at the heart of this rapidly developing field of topological semimetals. The various types of expertise, knowledge and background of the participant will facilitate the discovery of new compounds with desired properties and to establish promising collaborations that would progress the field further to uncharted territories.

The scientific program is planned to include 25 talks by invited speakers, 10 short talks to be selected by their abstracts will be given by young scientists, and one poster session devoted for works presented by young scientists. The long talks will be of 30 minutes and the short ones of 15 minutes long. This would allow substantial amount of the time for personal interactions and discussions. We will encourage the speakers to spend some time at the end of their talks to also present rough ideas and preliminary results in order to establish collaborations during the workshop. The availability of both physicist and material scientists, as well as experimentalist and theorist would allow establishing interdisciplinary collaborations that harness different skills for the explorations of existing materials and the discoveries of topological materials.

The main topics that will be discussed in the workshop are:
1. Dirac,Weyl and nodal semimetals
2. Chiral anomaly, anomalous spin Hall effect, chiral magnetoresistance
3. Material design and low dimensional systems
4. Interaction effects and superconductivity in topological semimetals
5. New frontiers in topological classification
